The Center for Highly Interactive Computing in Education at the University of Michigan develops learner-centered technology and curricula, drawing on the faculty, students, and staff from several disciplines: Schools of Education, Information and Public Health, and the College of Engineering. HI-CE is collaborating with Detroit and Ann Arbor Public Schools to produce a middle-school science curriculum and software. They also develop models for professional development, assessment, instructional practices, and home-school- community integration.
